San Diego, CA — Compass is proud to share the impact of a meaningful holiday partnership that brought joy, generosity, and connection to families across its multiple affordable housing communities. Over the holiday season, Compass was honored to receive 500 toys from Toys for Tots, helping ensure that children and families experienced the joy of the holiday season during a special time of year.

The generosity of Toys for Tots made a powerful difference for families living in affordable housing, many of whom face financial challenges during the holidays. The donated toys helped ensure children experienced the joy of the holiday season, reinforcing the importance of community support and collective giving.

Compass would also like to extend sincere gratitude to Affirmed Housing, whose team members generously volunteered their time to assist with the pickup, sorting, and distribution of the toys. Their hands-on involvement played a critical role in ensuring the toys reached children and families across multiple affordable housing properties efficiently and thoughtfully.

In addition, Compass is thankful to KILN Rancho Bernardo for generously providing space within their facility to support the large-scale sorting effort. Hosting the sorting and organization process in one of KILN’s spacious work areas made it possible to prepare the toys for distribution smoothly and efficiently, exemplifying the spirit of collaboration and community partnership.

“This effort was a true reflection of what’s possible when organizations come together with a shared purpose,” said Robin Martinez, Executive Director of Compass. “Because of Toys for Tots, Affirmed Housing, and KILN Rancho Bernardo, hundreds of children living in affordable housing communities were able to experience the joy of the holiday season and know their community cares.”

Compass is grateful to all partners who helped make this holiday initiative a success and remains committed to strengthening affordable housing communities through meaningful programs and partnerships throughout the year.
